SAIC is currently seeking a Help Desk Systems Administrator in Rock Island, IL responsible for the daily operation of computer networks. This position is the continuity for the team and is the liaison between echelons. 

Job Duties:

  • Responding to requests for technical assistance in person, over the phone, and via email, diagnose and resolve basic technical hardware and software issues as well as logistics and administrative questions, advise customers on appropriate action(s) towards resolution, follow standard Help Desk procedures, maintain domain accounts, emails and Share point pages, redirect unresolved problems to appropriate resources, track and route problems and requests and document resolutions, prepare various activity reports. 
  • Provide functions dealing with Hardware and software. Ensuring that systems are online and in compliance with software patches and STIG compliance. Ensuring systems are authorized for network usage.
  • Creating NIPR accounts, submitting tickets for SIPR user accounts, TSP (Tennant Security Plan) management, account compliance.  
  • This is the position that manages O365 licensing on NIPR/SIPR. The SEM coordinates with the GM to ensure that appropriate licensing is assigned by customer code. The Special Entitlement Manager (SEM) does troubleshooting of account problems with AESD to ensure user accounts are working properly.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors (2) two years of relevant experience; Masters degree and (0) zero years of relevant experience; 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree.

Required Security Clearance:

  • Must have an active Secret Clearance (US Citizenship required).

Required Skills:

  • US Army (Active/Reserve) prior experience
  • DoD 8570 Certified (Security +, Network +, Windows Environment)
  • 1 Year IT support in Windows environment
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Microsoft exchange ,domain accounts and Sharepoint in an enterprise environment
  • Ability to image client computers
  • VTC/SVTC/Audio Visual Support

Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
