SAIC is seeking an Inventory Management Lead to support the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) under the newly awarded Information Security Services (ISS) contract, providing innovative solutions to strengthen and safeguard the nation's banking system. This position is expected to by hybrid remote and will require on-site work in Arlington, VA.
Responsibilities:
Comprehensive Inventory Lifecycle Management:
• Develop and execute all inventory lifecycle operations, including receiving, warehousing, shipping, inventory reconciliation, and disposal.
• Lead equipment refresh planning, ensuring seamless alignment with FDIC's IT roadmap and technology lifecycle objectives.
• Employ elevated strategies such as first-in, first-out (FIFO) methodology for optimization and cost-effectiveness.
Asset Management Leadership:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify outdated assets and conduct refresh or disposal actions as required.
• Establish robust management procedures that incorporate condition monitoring, preventive action, and lifecycle optimization.
• Ensure all procedures comply with FDIC environmental and trade standards (e.g., TAA, Energy Star, and EPEAT).
Operational Oversight and Reporting:
• Direct teams to safely secure, account for, and manage inventory through its lifecycle; all loading dock equipment must be secured within 60 minutes of arrival.
• Develop monthly inventory performance metrics, including key performance indicators (KPIs) on receiving/dispatch timelines, disposal, and storage efficiency.
• Integrate IT asset inventory details into FDIC's broader asset management program, aligning with cross-functional service standards.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
• Detect gaps within existing inventory systems and design efficient operational solutions to enhance compliance and functionality.
• Partner with SAIC's cross-functional teams to explore emerging, compliant technology solutions that can be integrated into inventory lifecycle operations.
Facilitation of Agreements and Standards:
• Adhere to critical FDIC financial and operational standards while ensuring safety and security within warehouse facilities.
• Enhance collaboration between IT asset management and operational teams, streamlining workflows.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience, equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Extensive experience in inventory management systems and logistics for high-stakes institutions (e.g., federal agencies).
• Knowledge of industry-standard frameworks, specifically ITIL 4 for operational delivery and strategic alignment.
• Ability to develop robust performance analysis processes for reporting and accountability.
• High-level analytical capability to evaluate technology lifecycles, integrate asset management best practices, and optimize inventory supply chains.
• Strong communication, team management, and stakeholder alignment skills.
• Solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on resolving operational gaps innovatively.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an FDIC Public Trust
• Ability to successfully pass the SAIC Background investigation to establish a start date
Desired Qualifications:
• Certification in inventory or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
• Familiarity with FDIC or other federal technology standards, including trade compliance and environmental certifications.
• Background in project management with cross-functional abilities to bridge operational and technological needs.
