SAIC is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior QA Engineer to support quality assurance activities for a wide range of digital tools and platforms. This role involves hands-on testing of business solutions developed in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI), SharePoint, ServiceNow, and related automation tools. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, grow their skills, and contribute to high-quality software delivery through effective testing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and executing test plans for Power Platform applications, including Power Automate flows, Power Apps, and Power BI dashboards.
  • Conduct functional and regression testing across SharePoint, ServiceNow, and Microsoft-based solutions.
  • Review and validate workflows and scripts in ServiceNow modules like Incident and Change.
  • Check Power BI dashboards for data accuracy, layout, and visual consistency.
  • Test SharePoint features such as lists, permissions, forms, and workflows.
  • Use Azure DevOps to manage test cases, track defects, and ensure traceability.
  • Document bugs clearly and follow through on resolution with development teams.
  • Link test cases to user stories and requirements to ensure full coverage.
  • Support integration of automated testing using tools like Selenium, Postman, or PowerShell.
  • Work closely with developers, analysts, and product owners during Agile ceremonies.
  • Participate in improving QA tools, methods, and best practices.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in software quality assurance, development or testing.
  • Familiarity with testing Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Understanding of SharePoint structures (lists, libraries, workflows).
  • Exposure to ServiceNow functionality such as workflows, UI policies, or form rules.
  • Basic experience using test management tools like Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of automation tools like Selenium, Postman, or scripting in PowerShell or Python.
  • Interest in DevOps and CI/CD workflows.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., Power Platform, Power BI).
  • ServiceNow CSA certification.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL 4 concepts or ITSM tools.
  • Exposure to DevSecOps environments or secure software development practices.

Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
