SAIC is seeking an experienced Data Ops Engineer to join our Technical Engineering and Design Department in support of our United States Air Force customer. This position is on-site in Oahu, Hawaii. 

  • Experience in site reliability engineering (SRE), platform operations, or equivalent ownership of production system stability
  • Serve as a primary steward of platform health by maintaining site reliability, monitoring data pipelines, and proactively identifying and resolving system issues before they impact operations.
  • Architect and enhance systems that integrate real-time kinematic data with live, operational inputs ensuring accurate and time-sensitive entity tracking
  • Develop data models and schema evolution strategies that allow entity tracking systems to adapt over time without disrupting downstream consumers or compromising system integrity
  • Leverage understanding of intelligence community and military data feeds, systems, and workflows to inform technical decisions and ensure mission alignment.
  • Analyze complex datasets, identify trends and anomalies, and translate findings into actionable insights that support operational and engineering decisions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including engineers, operators, and program stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts clearly and adapting rapidly to evolving requirements.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with frequent-used scripting languages (ex: Python) commonly used in data science applications and data analytics 

Qualifications

  • Candidates must have an active TS/SCI clearance.  Additional eligibility requirements for access to other levels of classified information is required.
    U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Experience with Intelligence and C2 data sets including, but not limited to, ELINT, COMINT, MASINT, and GEOINT
  • Knowledge in data mining, data modeling, statistics, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from structured and unstructured datasets to support continuity of operations objectives.
  • Familiar with correlation and tracking fundamentals such as state estimation (position, velocity, acceleration), Kalman Filters, multi-hypothesis tracking (MHT), or track management
Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
