SAIC is currently seeking a Senior Military Advisor to join our team at Rock Island Arsenal, IL. This position requires CONUS travel up to 50% of this time.
The Senior Military Advisor will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Participate as part of team focused on emerging threat analysis, threat actors, and TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures) to provide operational and training plans in support of Command Guidance. Demonstrate experience, skills and in-depth knowledge of Army Operations, National Guard mobilizations, home-station training, and pre-/post-mobilization training requirements.
Participate in planning events, support staff in conferences and meetings, and provide advisement regarding operational events, training, and mobilizations.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree and nine(9) years' experience; additional four (4) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
Required Clearance:
- Must possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain; US Citizenship required.
Required Skills:
Experience in Army Tactical Operations
Experience in Army Mobilization operations, Large Scale Combat Operations
Prior service as an Army Officer O-5 or higher
Operational experience in a forward deployed battalion (or higher)
Candidate must be willing to work in the training environment and operational conditions. Work requirements may exceed the standard workday to include supporting 24-hour Army operations
Desired Skills:
Understanding of the Sustainment Readiness/ReARMM Model
Understanding of National Guard mobilization processes
Knowledge of Defense Support for Civil Authorities (DSCA) operations
Knowledge of Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
