SAIC is seeking a Supply Technician for our customer site in North Charleston, SC.
The Supply Technician:
- Provides expertise and the ability to supervise the LMADIS Materials Management team.
- Provides material purchase status reports to management.
- Work with Purchasing Team to execute common buys across programs and Build long term agreements with key suppliers.
- Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Purchasing to identify and qualify new suppliers.
- Collaborates with other managers to determine material needs.
- Working with all Program Managers, Engineers, and Program Logisticians to furnish complete Build of Materials (BOMs) to Purchasing for RFQ and procurement requirements.
- Resolve program shortages by reviewing and analyzing all back-orders.
- Periodic calls to vendors to insure promised dates are kept.
- Collecting merchandise from the Shipping and receiving section and safely transporting materials to the receiving area.
- Receiving and documenting merchandise for delivery or return.
- Keeping an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse.
- Identifying any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notify the Management.
- Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled.
- Supervise all material through computer input.
- Assisting with training of newly employed workers.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma and five (5) years of experience.
- Requires excellent time management and prioritizing skills to meet the challenges of unexpected program updates and requirements.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are critical.
- CMPRO experience.
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a public trust
