To address the growing demands within the Department of Defense, SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Incident Response Systems Engineer to support the data, analytics, digital, and AI capabilities of our Digital and AI Team.  As we embark on a new initiative leading the design, solutioning, and operations of integrated Enterprise IT solutions, we are dedicated to delivering world-class AI-enabled capabilities and enabling data-driven decision making to global missions across the Department, Services, and Combatant Commands.

 

The Ideal candidate will be adept at managing customer relationships, driving operational excellence, and fostering continuous improvement across all service areas in a global environment.

 

Your Responsibilities Include:

·       Provides Systems Engineering expertise across the entire product/system lifecycle from concept development to operations.

·       Provides engineering support in a flexible environment to ensure continuous operations based on mission demands.

·       Responds promptly to security incidents, implementing containment, eradication, and recovery measures in accordance with incident response protocols.

·       Coordinates with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain operations, mitigate risks, and restore normal operations during an IR event.

·       Documents failover and continuity of operations (COOP) plans for data systems and participate in testing failover capabilities as required, continuously improving response plans and procedures.

·       Documents all incidents, actions taken, and outcomes in detailed incident reports.

·       Develops post-incident reports and present findings to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

·       Utilizes forensic tools and techniques to gather, preserve, and analyze evidence in support of incident investigations.

·       Performs technical planning, high-level and detailed requirements definition, test planning and execution (to include use cases, test procedures and test data), software systems integration, and technical support for software systems and subsystems.

·       Develops total software system products, which may include concept design, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.

·       Implements a comprehensive reporting and dashboard system to enhance transparency and oversight across all facets of the ticketing workflow.

·       Designs and implements customized reports and dashboard based on customer requirements.

·       Analyzes assignments in the form of objectives, implied tasks, and establishes goals to successfully meet outlined objectives in the designated sprint.

·       Has a general knowledge of IT disciplines to provide direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance.

·       Maintains data catalogs based on functions, cataloging, labeling, and ingesting structured and unstructured data for all systems of record.

·       Conducts model-based systems engineering and modeling, simulation and analysis as needed.

·       Conducts and maintains Configuration Management of the program technical baseline.

·       Ensures appropriate compliance regulations are established and upheld. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 

You Bring to The Table:

·       Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and five (5) years or more experience; Master's and three (3) years' experience in designated field. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

·       Security+ Certification.

·       Experience working in a DoD environment supporting Combatant Commands and/or Joint Staff in an enterprise IT environment, across multiple domains and various clearance levels.

·       Experience working in an Agile Community, using Agile methodology for product and project management.

·       Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as experience with large-scale data integration projects.

·       Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

·       Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.

·       US citizenship and Secret security clearance is required. Must be able to obtain, or maintain, the security clearance as required.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

We'd Love It If You Also Have:

·       ITIL certification is a plus.

·       SAFe, Agile/Scrum/PMP certification(s) is ideal.

·       Familiarity with working with API's and JSON and XML file formats.

·       Experience working with programming languages such as Python.


Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
