SAIC is looking to add a strong Systems Engineer to their team. The candidate must be able to support all aspects of VMware virtualization; configuration, implementation, management of servers in virtualized environment, and VDI implementations. The candidate also should have a foundation in Windows and Mac OS, network management skills, and the ability to administer Microsoft SQL Server.

The candidate will:

• Provide senior level Windows engineering and support

• Install and configure vCenter Server.

• Configure, manage and maintain ESXi cluster servers.

• Setup and configure HA, vMotion and DRS.

• Configure Datacenters, clusters, resource pools, VM's and virtual switching.

• Install, configure and manage VDI solutions utilizing VMware Horizon with View.

• Monitor health of VMs operating in various datacenters.

• Manage replications and VM movements between datacenters.

• Manage disaster recovery of the virtualized environment using SRM.

• Coordinate with various storage, network & security and server Admin teams.

• Administer various Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Ability to quickly adapt and understand customer's environment and learn supporting technologies.

• Understanding of VMware's integration with Dell EMC Storage.

• Manage VMware data center product.

• Administer various Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Ability to quickly adapt and understand customer's environment and learn supporting technologies.

• Understanding of VMware's integration with complex storage technologies.

• Manage VMware data center product.

• Ability to manage, administer, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 

• 4-6 years of experience with VMware 5 virtual environment and higher (ESXi, vCenter Server, vSphere Client and Web Client, and VMware Workstation).

• Must have a Bachelors and 5 years of experience, Masters and 3 years of experience. Will take an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree

· Must have experience working with VMware

· Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016 experience is required

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
