SAIC is seeking a Test Technician for our North Charleston, SC customer site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and advanced testing on products, components, and systems.
  • Document and modify test procedures, ensuring accuracy and completeness in test records.
  • Install software, manage virtual machines, and configure networking equipment such as routers and switches.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues discovered during testing.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering and quality teams to enhance testing methods.
  • Focus on quality assurance throughout all testing activities.

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 

  • Associates degree  or Technical certification in electronics, engineering or related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in production testing
  • SolidWorks experience preferred.
  • Experience working with workflow management systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in installing software, managing VMs, and configuring network equipment (routers and switches).
  • Working knowledge of SQL, databases, Visual Studio, and scripting.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as Ethernet, RS-232, and RS-422.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
