Seeking a Software Engineer with a strong UI/UX focus to support the full software development lifecycle of cloud-based, scalable web applications. This role blends full-stack engineering, user-centered design, and Agile delivery, with emphasis on building intuitive, accessible, and high-performing user interfaces that integrate seamlessly with back-end services.
Target salary is $120-125k. (Please note this position is funded through March 2026 and most likely will push through June 2026).

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop intuitive, accessible user interfaces and user flows
- Contribute across the full SDLC, from requirements analysis through deployment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate user needs into technical solutions
- Integrate front-end components with back-end services and APIs
- Develop web, desktop, and utility applications as needed
- Analyze and resolve issues related to system intent, outputs, inputs, and controls
- Support data visualization, reporting, and interactive user experiences
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprints, stand-ups, retrospectives)
Qualifications
Core Technical Skills
- Front-End: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Web Sockets
- UI/UX: Responsive design, accessibility (WCAG principles), user flow optimization
- Full Stack: Front-end and back-end integration
- Databases: SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Cloud: Experience developing and deploying in cloud environments (AWS preferred)
- DevOps: GitLab, GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Bachelor's and five (5) years or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree
Agile & Delivery
- Strong experience working on Agile teams
- Iterative delivery with a focus on quality and scalability
- Comfortable collaborating with designers, developers, and stakeholders
Security & Compliance
- Active Secret clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred / Value-Add Experience
- AWS DevOps Engineer certification
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Learning Record Stores (LRS)
- Familiarity with tools such as Moodle, Rustici, Superset
- Experience supporting data-heavy or reporting-driven applications
- Accessibility-focused UI development
- Data visualization or reporting UI experience
- Experience building reusable UI components or design system
- DoD 8570 certification in IAT Level II certification or above (Security+ CE, CASP+ CE, CISSP, etc.)
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
