The Vice President, Client Executive, Department of War directs SAIC's overarching customer relationship, long-term strategic positioning, and growth agenda across key warfighting accounts. Leveraging a distinguished career of senior operational command and flag-level leadership, this executive connects SAIC's enterprise capabilities (including digital engineering, software integration, secure cloud, and mission analytics) with senior defense decision-makers to shape requirements, maximize contract vehicle utilization, and ensure our solutions directly solve critical warfighter challenges.

 

Core Responsibilities & Strategic Growth Focus Areas 1. Executive Customer Intimacy & Warfighter Advocacy Customer Engagement: Cultivate and maintain trusted, peer-to-peer relationships with general officers, Combatant Commanders, and senior acquisition executives across the Department of War.

 

Voice of the Customer: Act as the strategic "Voice of the Customer," bringing honest customer feedback regarding our program execution back to business group leadership to protect and enhance our reputation.

 

Brand & Market Elevation: Strengthen SAIC's market authority by spearheading targeted white papers, executive roundtables, and high-impact demonstrations of SAIC's core technologies and mission solutions.

 

Modernizing Fires & CJADC2 Cross-Domain Integration Strategic Alignment: Capitalize on deep domain expertise in fires, joint targeting, and air defense to align SAIC's digital modernization capabilities with service-wide modernization commands and doctrine centers.

 

Capability Positioning: Position SAIC's command and control software integration, automated sensor-to-shooter data pipelines, and other SAIC capabilities to capture major multi-domain command and control and cross-domain integration programs.

 

Expanding Indo-Pacific & Coalition Warfighting Readiness Theater Focus: Leverage operational command experience to guide SAIC's growth across theater-level Service and Joint commands and regional allied partnerships.

 

Mission Architectures: Shape multi-year pursuits around SAIC's expeditionary mission systems, resilient edge networking, secure tactical communications, and contested logistics architectures tailored to distributed theater operations.

 

Homeland Defense, Theater Commands & Enterprise Modernization Enterprise Integration: Utilize command experience across domestic operations and joint structures to position SAIC's secure multi-cloud environments, Zero Trust architectures, and enterprise digital infrastructure.

 

Mission Expansion: Expand our footprint across theater-level command consolidation, crisis response operations, and defense support of civil authorities by showcasing SAIC's systems integration and secure data federation capabilities.

 

Customer Value Expansion & IDIQ Optimization Ceiling Fill & Adjacencies: Proactively uncover adjacent customer requirements and mission gaps within active programs, driving ceiling utilization on key IDIQ contract vehicles.

 

Organic Growth: Partner with Business Development Managers and Operations to convert on-contract successes into expanded task order wins and long-term recompete security.

 

Qualifications

Flag Officer Service: Distinguished commissioned service culminating at the senior General Officer / Flag Officer level.

 

Executive Command Experience: Proven track record commanding major operational formations and directing complex joint or multinational task force operations.

 

Strategic Acumen: Deep understanding of DoD modernization priorities, the defense acquisition lifecycle, and multi-domain operations.

 

Education: Advanced degree (e.g., Master's / MBA) and Senior Service College completion.

 

Clearance: Active Top Secret / SCI.
