Here is what you will be doing
- Operating a Forklift in a warehouse environment
- Follow proper safety rules and operating procedures to support zero tolerance safety objectives
- Selecting, palletizing, and shrink wrapping products for shipments
- Staging orders for outbound deliveries
- Operate/maintain forklift and warehouse equipment
- Complete and maintain required daily paperwork
- Some general housekeeping duties when needed
- Occasionally work in areas outside of your normal duties, when instructed by supervisors
What you'll need
- 1 year of forklift operating, 1-year of marine, plant, or industrial equipment experience preferred
- Must have the ability to obtain a TWIC card, and must have a Valid Driver's License
- Be able to read, write, and understand English and follow written and/or verbal instructions
- Must be able to work shift: Monday-Friday 7 am-4 pm, weekends when vessels are loading or discharging
- High School diploma or GED
- Equipment certifications are a plus
Here are some of the physical requirements for this role
- Can work outdoors in the elements
- Lift 50+ pounds
- Stand/walk for long periods of time.
- Have dexterity, good eye sight, agility and balance
- Physically able to handle tools, climb on and off the equipment, ascend and descend ladders, and should not have a fear of heights
