These are just a few of the benefits you can expect from working with Savage:  Local work, home every day, flexible schedule A culture that appreciates our Team Members A fleet with the majority of trucks being less than 5 years old Uniforms and laundry service Paid Time Off (“PTO”) Paid holidays Built in overtime every week Profit Sharing Excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) A culture of safety A commitment to helping our Team Members do things that they never dreamed possible  What you'll be doing:  Safely change/mount tires as described in the Savage Tire Manual and general cleanup duties Develop a system for determining equipment tire needs, reducing progressive maintenance Perform maintenance duties in the shop, yard, field and roadside on service calls Keep the fleet up to Savage and D.O.T. regulations by performing maintenance at the most economical, cost effective times, while taking into account operating life, safety, and replacement considerations Maintain a clean and safe work environment Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by the Maintenance Supervisor or Operation Manager Ability to multi-task in a fast paced consistent high volume environment Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook Professional interaction and collaboration with other Savage Team Members Dependability in attendance is required Assist in tracking logs and maintaining asset management files and the reporting system Assist in working with an inventory system, generating reports at set intervals   What you need: Must be familiar with the Savage Tire Manual and follow the procedures found in the manual Must be familiar with record keeping as it pertains to tire maintenance and D.O.T. regulations Need to understand the importance of scheduling equipment for servicing; Must have experience working on equipment that operates in harsh environments Must understand their own limitations and know when to ask for help Must have the ability and willingness to perform the essential physical functions of the position Prefer one year of previous experience as a Tire Technician  Must be able to work in adverse conditions (heat and cold); time is in the shop and outdoor environment Must be physically able to handle heavy parts and pieces of equipment Climb on and off the equipment Physically demanding work will be a daily function of this position Class A CDL preferred but not required
