Responsible to perform major clean-up, sanitizing and set-up of equipment of all plant production lines. Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices and good housekeeping guidelines. It is each Partners responsibility to monitor and react to Food Safety and Quality Requirements. Must follow safety guidelines, wear designated Personal Protective Equipment, and meet OSHA safety requirements.
Starting Pay for General Part Time Sanitation is $18.51.
$10 per hour sanitation premium
$2 per hour night differential
Sanitation is usually on Saturday nights starting at 7pm
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
- Must be able to operate power cleaning and sanitizing equipment.
- Must be physically capable of performing moderate to heavy lifting.
- Must be able to use proper lifting techniques and maintain a safe work environment.
- Must be willing to learn new process systems as they evolve.
- Responsible to fill out paperwork as required
- Must be able to do other duties as assigned by the Team Leader/Team Advisor.
- Must be able to work in wet and humid conditions.
- Must be flexible to work different shift hours as needed.
- Must be able to work around ammonia systems, acid systems, steam systems, high voltage and know the safeguards against being accidentally exposed to fumes, live steam and/or shock.
- Must be able to wear safety shoes, hairnet, and hard hat at all times.
- Must be able to wear gloves, goggles, face shield, ear protection, and/or gas mask as the need arises.
