This is a fulltime day shift position working on a consistent 6:30am - 3:30pm Monday through Friday schedule.

  • $1,000 sign on bonus

Job Duties:  

  • Develop and maintain forms, registers and standard operating procedures for food safety and quality programs that comply with the SQF program and other food safety & quality requirements.  

  • Develop reports and other measurement tools which show compliance to food safety and quality programs.  

  • Disseminate information to plant partners and leadership to demonstrate compliance and opportunities for improvement. 

  • Prepare for audits and meet all audit requirements including but not limited to SQF, internal, customer, regulatory and claims (Organic, Kosher, Halal, Gluten Free etc.). Play a key coordination role in SQF certification audits. 

  • Monitor and coordinate the control of food safety and quality documents.  

  • Train leaders and hourly partners on food safety and quality programs and policies. 

  • Help define and implement change management and continuous improvement initiatives. 

  • Maintain and monitor plant partner training registers and documentation. 

  • Verify document control and system conformance. Monitor corrective action and preventative action processes. 

  • Maintain alignment of plant food safety and quality processes to Home Office programs.  

  • Perform other duties, projects, responsibilities as directed by the Quality Assurance Team Leader 

  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed and flexible to shift needs within the plant. 

  • Travel (to include possible overnight travel) may be required for training purposes 

  • Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices and good housekeeping guidelines. Must follow safety guidelines, wear designated Personal Protective Equipment, and meet OSHA Safety Requirements. 

  • Must be able to identify and understand customer requirements. 

  • Perform all food safety and quality checks required for position. Follow reaction plan for Food Safety, Food Quality and customer requirement outages by contacting Team Leader.  

 

Job Requirements:  

  • High school diploma/GED, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred  

  • 3 year minimum experience with manufacturing and/or demonstrated leadership qualities 

  • Demonstrated leadership ability 

  • Proficient computer skills 

  • Willingness and ability to become PCQI and SQF (practitioner) certified 

  • Driven, self-motivated and goal oriented 

  • Willing to perform duties assigned and manage multiple priorities 

  • Dependable (good attendance to work and meetings) 

  • Adaptable 

  • Requires good communication and writing skills, computer skills, must be able to develop strong team skills and influence others for results, as well as ability to influence change. 

  • Due to the investment in training and obtaining certification, we are looking for someone to be committed to this role for at least 2 years.
