The Vice President, Distribution and Transportation leads Schreiber's Distribution and Transportation job family group and is accountable for the strategy, performance, and continuous improvement of logistics operations supporting U.S. food manufacturing and customer fulfillment.

This role establishes and executes strategies that directly impact cost, service, quality, and growth outcomes aligned with the U.S. Growth Plan. The Vice President collaborates across Manufacturing, Commercial, Finance, Quality, IT, and Supply Chain to optimize the end‑to‑end supply chain, while ensuring food safety, regulatory compliance, and customer requirements are consistently met.

This role offers a flexible hybrid work schedule (Monday-Friday) located at our Home Office in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The hybrid work schedule is 3 days/week onsite at Home Office and 2 days/week from home.

Relocation Benefits: Receive a $10,000 relocation bonus PLUS a generous relocation package if relocating more than 50 miles for this position.

What you'll do:

Enterprise & Functional Strategy

  • Establish, implement, and maintain Distribution and Transportation strategies aligned to Schreiber's U.S. Growth Plan.
  • Translate enterprise and supply chain strategies into executable logistics, distribution, and transportation plans with measurable business impact.
  • Accountable for strategic programs, initiatives, and systems that set direction and priorities for the Distribution & Transportation job family group.
  • Ensure alignment of logistics strategy with manufacturing capacity, inventory strategy, customer service commitments, and financial objectives.

Distribution & Transportation Leadership

  • Provide executive leadership for distribution centers, transportation operations, and logistics capabilities, including oversight of third‑party logistics providers.
  • Drive performance against enterprise KPIs, including cost‑to‑serve, OTIF, safety, quality, service, and compliance.
  • Lead network design, capacity planning, and process standardization to support volume growth, geographic expansion, and evolving customer requirements.
  • Ensure reliable, compliant, and efficient product flow from manufacturing to customers in a regulated food manufacturing environment.

Financial & Operational Accountability

  • Accountable for significant expenditures across distribution and transportation operations, with signature authority.
  • Drive cost optimization and productivity improvements while maintaining service, safety, and quality standards.
  • Balance operational performance, financial stewardship, and growth enablement.

CrossFunctional Influence & Collaboration

  • Influence across departments to gain alignment on supply chain priorities, tradeoffs, and execution.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Customer Teams, Commercial, Quality, Finance, IT, and Procurement to optimize the full supply chain.
  • Represent Distribution & Transportation in enterprise‑level discussions impacting customers, service models, and growth initiatives.

Leadership & Talent Management

  • Lead multiple teams of senior managers and/or expert‑level individual contributors within Distribution and Transportation.
  • Accountable for succession planning, leadership development, and talent optimization across the job family group.
  • Establish consistent expectations for hiring, development, performance management, and progression.
  • Develop short‑ to mid‑term talent plans to ensure the organization has the capabilities required to execute strategy.

Food Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Together with the leadership team, ensure compliance with Food Safety Plans, Food Quality Plans, regulatory requirements, and customer standards across distribution and transportation.
  • Interpret and communicate customer and regulatory requirements to operations and support teams.
  • Establish, audit, and continuously improve PCPs, CCPs, SOPs, and logistics control processes. Review non‑conformances and lead corrective actions to ensure sustained compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Identify and further develop talent through effective hiring, coaching, mentoring and regular performance feedback. Responsible for succession planning for the team.
  • Provide leadership and expertise to determine our distribution and logistics strategy articulating what is needed to deliver on our growth plans.
  • Develop effective working relationships internally at all levels to ensure alignment and execution to the key projects needed to deliver objectives.
  • Develop and articulate the benefits of Schreiber Logistics utilizing persuasive presentations to increase our customers and generate excitement and engagement internally.
  • Secure new business to deliver Variable Income growth ensuring the achievement of our Growth and Impact commitment.
  • Measure and monitor performance, which includes defining the KPI's; and collecting and monitoring data on performance, costs, capacity, service, VI, volume etc. Provide tools and measurements needed to support DC operations.


What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or Operations preferred
  • 15+ years of relevant business experience, with: Senior leadership experience in Distribution, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing
  • Experience leading multiple teams or departments
  • Experience in food manufacturing or regulated environments strongly preferred
  • Enterprise logistics and supply chain strategy
  • Strong communication and influence across job family groups
  • Financial acumen and operational governance
  • Complex problem solving and decision‑making
  • Change leadership and continuous improvement
  • Talent development and succession planning
  • Cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder management
  • Ability to travel more than 25%
