In this role, you will lead Schreiber's European Retail and Contract Manufacturing Sales business, driving profitable growth, customer partnership excellence, and long-term market expansion. The role defines and executes commercial strategy across retail and co-manufacturing customers, leading sales teams across multiple European markets in alignment with Schreiber's global objectives.

As a key member of the European commercial leadership team, this role is accountable for customer development, category expansion, new market entry, innovation commercialization, pricing, and cross-functional business leadership.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a focused European Retail and COMAN growth strategy across three priorities: protect and grow the core, build and diversify, and explore new opportunities.

  • Protect and grow existing private label and COMAN customers across Europe.

  • Lead business planning, including annual operating plans, growth plans, customer prioritization, and resource allocation.

  • Build and diversify new private label opportunities with leading European retailers and new co-manufacturing partnerships across Europe.

  • Explore expansion in new geographies in Europe, as well as selected adjacent categories.

  • Translate market, consumer, and regulatory trends into actionable commercial opportunities.

Customer & Revenue Growth

  • Own the European retail and COMAN customer portfolio and deliver volume, revenue, profit, and market share targets.

  • Build executive-level relationships with strategic customers and customer groups.

  • Lead long-term agreements, pricing, customer investments, and strategic partnership negotiations.

  • Drive profitable growth through portfolio optimization, innovation commercialization, and customer expansion strategies.

  • Ensure disciplined forecasting, demand planning, and customer performance management.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead and develop a team of Sales Directors, Key Account Managers, and sales professionals.

  • Build commercial capabilities and succession pipelines across Europe.

  • Foster a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer focus.

Cross-Functional Business Leadership

  • Partner with Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, R&D, Quality, Sustainability and Sourcing.

  • Influence portfolio decisions, innovation priorities, capacity investments, and growth initiatives.

  • Align customer needs, sustainability requirements, operational capabilities, and financial objectives.

  • Champion commercial excellence and continuous improvement.

Financial & Business Management

  • Manage revenue, profitability, and investment responsibilities across European markets.

  • Monitor performance and take corrective action to deliver business objectives.

  • Drive pricing governance, margin management, and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure responsible stewardship of resources and commercial investments.

As a Vice President, this role is expected to:

  • Shape commercial strategy rather than solely execute existing plans.

  • Lead leaders and influence across multiple business functions.

  • Build alignment among diverse stakeholders and geographies.

  • Represent Schreiber externally with customers, industry groups, and strategic partners.

  • Bring enterprise thinking while balancing customer, operational, and financial priorities.

Key Ingredients (Qualifications & Skills)

Required

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, International Business, or a related field.

  • 15+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience in fast-moving consumer goods, preferably in food manufacturing with business-to-business and private label exposure.

  • Proven experience leading multi-country commercial organizations and senior sales teams.

  • Strong experience managing large customer portfolios and complex customer negotiations.

  • A track record of delivering profitable growth and business transformation.

  • Experience working in matrixed, international organizations.

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including pricing, revenue management, margin management, and customer performance.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish, and the ability to build strong relationships across markets, teams, and cultures.

  • Availability to travel regionally up to 40%

Preferred

  • An MBA or advanced business qualification.

  • French or Portuguese language skills.

  • German or other European language skills.

  • Experience translating market, consumer, and regulatory trends into commercial opportunities.

  • A leadership style grounded in collaboration, accountability, customer focus, cultural agility, and Schreiber's values.
