THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Social Media Marketing Manager strengthens and amplifies the Seyfarth brand by ensuring our social presence enhances our reputation of innovation and excellence, raises our profile with all of our audiences (current and prospective clients, alums, recruits, law students, external media, industry peers, attorneys and staff, and others), aligns with the firm's strategic brand objectives and messaging, and fosters employee advocacy.

 

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

On any given day you will:

  • Develop and execute the firm's comprehensive social media strategies to enhance visibility and engagement for our lawyers, practices, and the firm, including key business and talent audiences, across all social platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook. This includes managing daily content production and posting, maintaining editorial calendars, and paid social marketing efforts.
  • With the Communications team, support creation of engaging content across all social media platforms, ensuring alignment with the firm's voice, branding, and communication goals. This includes generating content for firm-wide initiatives such as DEI, recruiting, alumni programs, and practice-specific promotions. Additionally, produce content to celebrate Seyfarth Life, including cultural moments, firm events and celebrations, holiday messages.
  • Spearhead the development and management of strategic campaigns in collaboration with Practice Development and Business Development Managers and other departments, create campaign strategies, and work with internal and external marketing teams and resources to execute those campaigns.
  • Oversee the firm's employee advocacy program promoting engagement with individuals and practice groups and educating the firm on the importance of employee advocacy to enhance the reputation of the firm and individuals.
  • Work closely with colleagues across departments including media relations, design & branding, video, digital marketing, events, alumni, DEI, and recruiting to ensure cohesive and integrated marketing strategies.
  • Provide personalized coaching to lawyers for their social media brand development, ensuring alignment with the firm's digital presence. Develop and present information to business units and internal groups that help educate and inform them on social media effectiveness, personal and business brand promotion strategies, and firm communications efforts. Regularly interact with firm stakeholders to maintain alignment across campaigns and with firm strategic objectives.
  • Manage and execute social media advertising strategies, including budget management.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on digital engagement and campaign performance. Create detailed reports and analysis to inform strategic adjustments and demonstrate ROI.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure seamless integration and alignment with our marketing strategies, including budget management.
  • Monitor engagement and sentiment across all firm social networks.
  • Update firm social and digital profiles regularly ensuring they reflect the current messaging and branding of the firm.

     

     

     

    YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • Previous experience with a major law firm or professional services organization preferred.
  • Minimum five years of social media marketing experience
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills, ability to act with a high degree of integrity and maintain confidentiality, handle and prioritize multiple assignments, and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Highly professional, with strong project management skills.

The salary range for this role is $118,000-$135,000 annually, which is based on a 40 hour work week. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay.
