SPA has an immediate need for a Joint Kill Chain & Communications Integrator.


Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide critical Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) to a Department of Defense (DoD) program office. The candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the integration of advanced weapon systems and radios into the kill chain with a primary focus on the communications layer and joint service interactions. The role involves providing technical guidance, systems engineering support, and strategic analysis to facilitate the development, prototyping, and demonstration of mission-critical capabilities for the warfighter. You will work closely with program teams, FFRDCs/UARCs, and joint service partners to assess system performance and military utility.

 

  • Serve as a primary technical advisor on weapon and radio integration, tactical networking, and the development and integration of network-enabled munitions.
  • Advise on joint munitions development programs, ensuring cross-service compatibility and integration into existing and future kill chains.
  • Develop, review, and refine joint Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) for the employment of integrated weapon systems, ensuring they are synchronized with the communications architecture.
  • Provide SME support for the integration of Tactical Data Links (TDL) and military communication systems to ensure effective kill chain execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and validate complex DoD systems, advanced weapon systems, C4ISR equipment, and fire control systems.
  • Analyze and influence system requirements to ensure alignment with joint service operational needs and program priorities.
  • Facilitate interoperability between joint, allied, and coalition systems by advising on integration strategies, participating in technical working groups, and supporting CONOPS/TTP development forums.
  • Lead and support the planning, execution, and analysis of test events, live-fire exercises, and demonstrations to validate system performance and operation utility.
  • Communicate complex technical findings and data-driven recommendations effectively to a diverse audience of senior military leaders, program managers, and engineers.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance at time of application
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering or technical discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in DoD command and control, weapon systems integration, or a related field
  • Significant experience with joint service munitions development, including an understanding of the processes for coordinating requirements, funding, and testing across the services
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, authoring, or evaluating CONOPS and TTPs for complex, network-enabled weapon systems
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, the DoD acquisition process, and kill chain analysis
  • Proven ability to work full-time in a SCIF/SAPF environment
  • Ability to travel 25% to 50%
  • Able to work full-time in a SCIF/SAPF environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working within or directly supporting a Joint Program Office (JPO) or similar cross-service organization

 


Pay Range Information

Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Virginia, Pay Transparency Salary range: USD $200,000.00/Yr. - USD $225,000.00/Yr.
