The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues. SPA provides critical decision support to enabling and executing a strategy of technological superiority and enabling the delivery and sustainment of secure, resilient, and preeminent capabilities to the warfighter quickly and cost effectively. Our team of experienced military, technical, and operations research analysts is skilled in evaluating military problems, identifying the driving factors, devising innovative approaches, collecting applicable data, developing necessary software tools, and performing thorough and timely assessments to inform technology and acquisition governance decisions to ensure U.S. military forces retain military superiority in the future. We have an immediate need for a Knowledge Managment Specialist to provide onsite support out of Arlington, VA. Responsibilities The DARPA Director's Office, Strategic Initiatives Group (SIG), requires a disciplined focus on integrating personnel, processes, and tools across the information lifecycle to create shared understanding and improve organizational performance with decision-making. This position requires presence, deep engagment with teammates, proactive situational awareness, and the ability to translate complex S&T information into clear, actionable guidance for leadership. The Knowledge Manager provides high-visibility, full-spectrum support to SIG leadership, LNOs, SCFP personnel, and DARPA Technical Offices. Reponsibilites center on sustaining organizational readiness, strengthening cross-agency coordination, and enabling precise, timely, and confident decision-making across DARPA's military and civilian enterprise. The candidate will provide structured knowledge management and workflow support, including SharePoint/Teams governance, authoritative repositories, version control, and standardized processes that enhance information flow and traceability. Additional responsibilities include developing leadership-ready briefs, talking points, decision memos, and integrated data products and synthesis of complex technical content into concise, accessible formats. The candidate will support high-tempo tasker management, meeting preparation, cross-office coordination, and execution of SIG-level priorities with accuracy and timeliness. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree Active DoD Secret clearance Advanced knowledge of organizational communications, science/technology policy, and program management 5+ years of progressive responsibility supporting executive leadership, complex S&T programs, and mission-critical operations within government or industry Demonstrated experience supporting a DARPA-comparable high-tempo S&T organization providing operational support Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills with proven ability to operate effectively in dynamic, time-sensitive environments Demonstrated experience synthesizing large volumes of technical information into concise, leadership-ready formats Professional experience requiring understanding of joint military structure Expert in Microsoft 365, PowerBI, workflow automation, and data visualization tools to enhance situational awareness and operational transparency Able to work fully onsite based on client needs
