Description
What you will do: As an employee-owner, you will determine and set incoming inspection frequencies of suppliers based off quality and performance. Perform incoming, fire piece, in-process or final inspection/audit on manufactured and assembled product using prints/specifications, work instructions, new mats, precise measuring instruments and test equipment. You will be an important team member to the Quality department in making sure all calibration and other data is up to standard.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Determine and set incoming inspection frequencies of suppliers based off quality and performance.
- Perform incoming, first piece, in-process or final inspection/audit on manufactured and assembled products using prints/specifications, work instructions, new mats, precise measuring instruments and test equipment.
- Data maintenance, data analysis and collection, vendor warranty returns, line defects and scrap.
- Internal auditor of Quality processes and procedures.
- Initiate supplier quality actions and continuous improvement opportunities
- Oversee and maintain internal calibration operations both internal and external customers
- Maintain company Layered Process Audit program
- Assist Quality Engineer in creation and revision of process, procedure specifications, work instructions, samples and other projects / tasks as needed
- Research current standards and practices to continually improve processes
- Communicate between external and internal customers and suppliers in quality and technical matters
- Support of incoming inspection activities
- Regional travel may be necessary
