What You Will Get To Do:
The Director – Investor Services is responsible for leading multiple teams within the Investor Services function, ensuring the delivery of high-quality transfer agency and investor servicing operations. This role leads, oversees, and provides strategic direction to maintain strong client relationships, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
The Director works closely with fund managers, auditors, and internal stakeholders to support client onboarding and fund launches, oversee complex operational matters, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery, team performance, and operational effectiveness.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of multiple Investor Services teams, including performance management, coaching, and professional development.
- Act as a key escalation point for clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution of complex operational issues.
- Coordinate and support new client launches and fund conversions, including analysis and setup of fund data within internal systems.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, fund managers, auditors, and internal service teams to ensure high service standards.
- Review and oversee investor transactions, ensuring all processing aligns with fund offering documents and internal procedures.
- Review and approve investor reporting and communications prior to distribution.
- Review and approve investor-related payments, including wires, while maintaining accurate wire instructions and controls.
- Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of operational databases, dashboards, and reporting tools.
- Review fund manager reports and support regulatory or investor reporting requirements (e.g., ERISA, Blue Sky).
- Work closely with external auditors and internal teams to complete confirmations, due diligence requests, and operational reviews.
- Lead or contribute to operational, client, and regulatory meetings to support service delivery and continuous improvement.
- Identify training needs within the team and ensure appropriate training and development initiatives are implemented.
- Lead or contribute to departmental initiatives and operational improvement projects.
- Support testing of systems, databases, and applications as required to ensure operational effectiveness.
- Respond to and resolve inquiries from investors, fund managers, and internal stakeholders.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Supervisory experience
- Knowledge of financial services/mutual funds/ hedge funds/private equity funds preferred
- Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
- Proven Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong organisational and relationship-building skills
- Proven training skills and adaptable to various software/database applications
