Job Description
The Head of Operations will work closely with the Head of Transfer Agency and Trading Solutions in Thailand to ensure Operational excellence to internal and external clients. To assist in the build and management of the Operational teams across Transfer Agency and Trading Solution business processing in Thailand. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure business-wide compliance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational build:
Support Head of TA / TS in determining optimal Operational model.
Build Job descriptions for operational areas.
Conduct interviews in Thail and English to assist with recruitment process.
Support regulators visit to ensure 1st time activation of license.
Support Licence Application:
Assist in reviewing and delivery of Registrar license application to the Regulator.
Work closely with and monitor the external lawyers to ensure swift submission.
Work alongside Head of TA to visit Regulator for submission.
Ensure Regulator visit is successful
Business Support:
Actively participate in client and prospect meetings
Work with Management to provide basic coaching and support in improving operational practices.
Assist in reviewing training for new employees.
Provide support to 2nd line team covering Risk & Compliance
Review any regulatory announcements to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with leaders to ensure local considerations are integrated into business processes for onshore and offshore activities.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business to enhance compliance and efficiency.
Attend internal forums as support for Head of TA
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum 10 years' experience in the financial services industry in Thailand, Or
7 years' experience in Investor Services industry in Thailand
Understanding of Thailand Mutual and Provident Fund nuances is desirable.
Basic understanding of Thai regulatory requirements and obligations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Fluent in Thai and English
