- What you can expect:
- As a Health Care Call Center Representative, you will work in a dynamic inbound contact center assisting callers by providing world class customer service answering questions, resolving issues and assisting with pharmaceutical and/or medical health transactions. You can expect a full and comprehensive training program to ensure you are provided the tools, resources and knowledge to be successful. - Primary Responsibilities
- Responds to inbound phone calls and processes customer inquiries / requests into the appropriate system or database.
- Uses sound judgment to resolve customer billing inquiries. Analyzes account history and makes the appropriate changes based on information gathered during the original inquiry and request made by the customer.
- Escalates calls as needed. Provides customers with routine health care information on effective dates of coverage, claims history, deductible and coinsurance amounts, and medical benefits.
- Experience and Skills you bring to SS&C:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, and up to 1 year of related experience minimum
- Previous customer service experience in a call center environment
- Strong preference for experience working with United States healthcare systems including Medicare, Medicaid, Affordable Care Act, Commercial, Small/Large Group and/or Pharmaceutical Benefits Management
- Intermediate computer proficiency, including keyboarding skills and the ability to navigate through multiple programs within a Windows based environment
- Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for providing quality service in a professional environment
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, team environment while remaining knowledgeable of our evolving industry
- Ability to communicate complex information in tangible, simple terms
- Proven ability to adapt your communication style based on the customer's level of understanding in order to meet their needs
- Strong commitment to continuous learning and development
- Strong research and problem solving skills
