Job Summary
The Senior Associate will be responsible for executing complex financial operations and contributing to the efficient delivery of services within a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively to meet client deadlines and service level agreements.
Job Responsibilities
* Perform daily reconciliation of financial data, including cash, positions, and trades, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
* Process and validate various financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures and regulatory requirements.
* Prepare and review financial reports, statements, and other deliverables for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
* Act as a point of contact for client queries and escalations, providing accurate and prompt resolutions while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
* Assist in the training and mentoring of junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster team growth and development.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in the implementation of new workflows and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
* Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including technology, risk, and compliance, to ensure seamless operations and problem resolution.
* Ensure strict adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and external regulatory guidelines.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
* 3-5 years of experience in financial services, preferably within fund administration, reconciliation, or operations.
* Strong understanding of financial products (e.g., equities, fixed income, derivatives) and market conventions.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, advanced formulas) is essential.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with keen attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding, deadline-driven environment.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
* Experience with financial software platforms and reconciliation tools is a plus.
