What You Will Get to Do:           

In this senior role, you will lead automation definition and uplift across various projects, ensuring our systems meet all requirements and perform optimally. This position offers a chance to drive impactful projects, mentor and lead junior engineers, and be a part of our collaborative and motivated team!

As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will take on a key role in planning, executing, and reporting on automation activities, while also managing defects and engaging with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Develop, implement and assure automated Quality Assurance using various test automation tools & frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, QTP/UFT and working API framework (restful APIs/SOAP UI/Postman API), TypeScript 
  • Build automation scripts in HP ALM/JIRA to get them run on automation labs 
  • Analyze test requirements, design and prepare automated test scenarios and scripts which provide comprehensive coverage of given requirements 
  • Generate test metrics & ROI to utilize them for process and efficiency improvements 
  • Build complex SQL queries to build automation scripts for data mining requirements and migration requirements 
  • Coach and mentor junior developers in the team 
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across environments 
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and estimation 

What You Will Bring:

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer with solid backgrounds in both manual and automated testing.

With a proven track record of leading complex testing projects, you will also:

  • Be proficient in tools such as JIRA, Xray, TOSCA, Postman, and SQL.
  • Working experience in Automation testing using Playwright, Selenium and similar testing tools like UFT etc. using VBScript, C#, TypeScript, Java, Cucumber, Gherkins, Angular Material Design and TailwindCSS, Angular v12 or later (preferably v18+), TypeScript Git etc. with strong understanding of Object-Oriented concepts. 
  • Strong hands-on experience in Automation framework development and enhancement and should have worked on script development. Generally (at least 2 years, preferably 3+ years). Hands on experience with microservices 
  • Proven experience of activities like automated script design, development, execution and maintenance in a Keyword driven framework using the HP UFT or Selenium framework 
  • Have a strong understanding of various Software Development methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid, along with DevOps practices.
  • Have experience in the superannuation industry or a similar financial sector to minimize the learning curve and quickly contribute to the team.
