Location: RSU Tower, Bangkok, Thailand - Hybrid

In Australia, SS&C is predominately located in Melbourne and Sydney and has 600+ employees. Most of the Australian division are working on Unit Registry (referred to as Transfer Agency around the world) technology and services. SS&C Managed Funds Administration (MFA) is the largest provider of Unit Registry services in Australia, providing Fund Manager, Custodians and end to end service offering. 

Role Purpose:

The Accountant, Fund Administration is an entry-level role within SS&C Fintech Thailand, supporting the delivery of fund administration services across two key functions: Investment Operations and Valuations & Unit Pricing. This role supports the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of investment accounting data, unit pricing outputs, valuations, and associated client reporting. The position works closely with experienced team members across Technology, Client Services, Compliance, and Operations to develop skills and contribute to continuous improvement. The Accountant will play an important role in SS&C's Thailand-based operating model, developing their technical skills and contributing to a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation.


Key Responsibilities

1. Investment Operations — Support & Execution

  • Supports the accurate and timely processing of transactional and portfolio accounting data entering the SS&C ecosystem. Assists in reviewing custody data, external security data, market updates, and corporate actions before ingestion into internal systems.

  • Assist with daily processing and review of portfolio reconciliations, security pricing, corporate actions, and transactional capture

  • Support the review of transactional, custody and vendor data before entering the system

  • Identify and escalate potential process issues and contribute ideas for efficiency improvements across investment operations

  • Work alongside Technology and operational teams to learn and support system and workflow enhancements

  • Adhere to accounting policies, procedures, and service standards, and flag potential risk items to senior team members

  • Support cross-functional teams in investigating and remediating operational issues and identifying root causes

  • Assist in responding to internal and external client inquiries in line with SLA requirements


2. Valuations & Unit Pricing — Support & Execution

  • Supports the accurate and timely delivery of unit pricing outputs. Assists in reviewing material movements in underlying securities against external pricing sources, and helps ensure management and performance fees are calculated correctly. Contributes to the review of unit pricing data inputs — including trades, cash movements, and corporate actions — under senior supervision.

  • Assist with the daily processing and checking of unit pricing calculations and portfolio performance analysis

  • Support reconciliation of cash and securities prior to unit price calculation

  • Assist in checking management and performance fee calculations and fee accruals reflected in the unit price

  • Support the review of units on issue to help ensure accuracy in the unit pricing system

  • Contribute to process improvement discussions and support efficiency initiatives across valuations and unit pricing

  • Comply with accounting policies, procedures, and service standards

  • Assist in handling internal and external client inquiries in line with SLA requirements


3. Professional Development & Teamwork

  • Work collaboratively as part of the Investment Operations and Valuations & Unit Pricing teams

  • Actively participate in performance reviews and take ownership of personal development goals

  • Contribute to a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and client-first service delivery

  • Support the onboarding of new team members and share knowledge as experience grows


4. Systems & Process Support

  • Contributes to the ongoing operations of the Thailand hub, supporting both Investment Operations and Valuations & Unit Pricing functions.

  • Support APAC and global teams in executing on operating model processes and procedures

  • Support the implementation of change management initiatives under senior guidance

  • Develop proficiency in SS&C proprietary technology platforms — including HiPort — to support efficient and scalable operations


5. Service Quality & Client Support

  • Delivering high-quality service is central to the success of the Fund Administration team. This role supports service delivery by completing work accurately and on time, and escalating client queries and issues promptly to senior team members.

  • Support a high standard of service delivery across all fund administration functions

  • Contribute to the team maintaining 96% and above KPI performance across all service lines

  • Escalate client queries and complex operational issues promptly to the relevant senior team member

  • Demonstrate high responsiveness and professionalism in all interactions


What You'll Bring

  • Strong interest in fund administration, accounting, or financial services, with a willingness to learn and develop in a structured team environment

  • Basic understanding or academic knowledge of investment operations, unit pricing, or valuations is an advantage

  • Awareness of asset classes such as equities, fixed income, and derivatives is beneficial

  • ETF fund accounting knowledge an advantage

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels of an organisation

  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving ability

  • Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Degree education — preferably Commerce, Finance, or Accounting (recent graduates welcome)

  • 0–2 years' experience in fund administration or a related financial services role; internship or graduate experience considered


Preferred Experience

  • Some exposure to investment operations and/or unit pricing/valuations within a fund administrator, asset manager, or through academic study

  • Exposure to or interest in working within a shared services or hub-based operating environment

  • Familiarity with HiPort or similar fund accounting platforms an advantage; willingness to learn required

  • Demonstrated ability to identify problems, escalate appropriately, and support resolution efforts

  • Familiarity with Australian or regional regulatory requirements for managed funds (ASIC, APRA, SEC) an advantage

  • Eagerness to be hands-on and contribute actively to day-to-day operational tasks

  • Clear and professional communicator, comfortable working within a team environment
