What You Will Get To Do:

Directly responsible for the end-to-end payroll function, including accurate processing, payment, reconciliation, and reporting of employee wages, leave entitlements, superannuation, and payroll tax. This role also provides payroll support to the Finance team and the broader organisation as required.

This is a fixed-term contract till the end of February 2026, you must be available to start ASAP.

  • Full ownership of end-to-end payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment of employee wages.

  • Reconciliation and lodgement of payroll withholding tax, superannuation, and payroll tax.

  • Liaise with ADP payroll provider to ensure monthly payrolls are processed accurately and on time.

  • Add new employees to the ADP Portal and review STP reports before approving transmission to the ATO.

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of pay rises, back pay, and bonuses via ADP.

  • Maintain accurate records of employee leave entitlements (annual, personal, long service).

  • Manage the leave system and reconcile it with ADP reports to ensure correct balances and no late entries.

  • Reconcile superannuation contributions and liaise with super funds for new employee setups or extended leave notifications.

  • Manage monthly payroll tax lodgement and payment reporting.

  • Respond to and resolve payroll queries from employees in a timely and professional manner.

  • Work with HR on employee onboarding and terminations.

  • Understand basic journal entries related to payroll tax and general ledger impacts.

  • Perform ad-hoc duties to support the finance/payroll team as required.

What You Will Bring:

  • Proven experience in end-to-end payroll management is essential.

  • Experience working with ADP payroll systems and familiarity with Workday is highly desirable.

  • Prior exposure to managing employee parental leave processes is advantageous.

  • Ability to work independently with strong critical thinking skills—understanding the "why," not just the "how."

  • Innovative mindset with a willingness to challenge existing processes and think outside the box.

  • Experience operating in complex, highly controlled environments with a solid understanding of approval workflows.

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

  • Experience in the software or consulting industry is preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, majoring in Accounting.
