Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer
Location: Kansas City MO – Hybrid 6x a month

What You Will Get To Do:

Solution Lead Role

• Provide technical or functional subject matter expertise to help design solutions for the TRAC platform
• Provide input during project intake meetings to generate high level project estimates
• Propose project development scope and design solutions and provide more detailed project estimates
• Provide guidance and subject matter expertise to help refine business requirements
• Help troubleshoot complex application issues and determine root cause
• Attended internal or external customer meetings to describe application functionality and help brainstorm solution options
• Assist Implementation Team with the rollout of new functionality on production systems
• Provide technical assistance to Client Support to evaluate production support tickets when requested
• May perform design and code reviews for required projects

Role may also involve:

• Support Product and Conversion Teams in sales calls
• Provide assistance to the Service Organization in implementation of new Policies and Procedures related to new system functionality

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of work-related experience; or Master's degree and 2 years of work-related experience; or 6 years of equivalent work-related experience
• Designing, developing and maintaining SaaS applications
• Working in an agile environment using Scrum
• A passion for continuous learning as well as the ability to learn quickly and apply new skills
• Flexibility/Ability to be proactive, possesses good problem solving skills and the capability to find solutions and the ability to successfully meet deadlines

Technology

• Java, JUnit, JPA, Spring 
• Web/RESTful Services Development
• Microservice Development
• JavaScript, jQuery, ExtJS Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, Jasmine (or other Javascript unit testing frameworks)
• SQL and relational databases

Ideal candidate will have the following application experience:

• Experience with SS&C TRAC application (https://www.ssctech.com/products/trac) or 5 plus years' experience with a similar financial based application
• Senior level experience in a design or solution lead role
• Ability to research application functionality and/or leverage subject matter experts to formulate high level design solutions

• Based on solution designs, create high level estimates to feed the project pipeline for development teams
• Experience with team leadership.
• Strong business and analytical skills.
• Ensure work assignments are clearly understood and completed by the deliverable date.
• Express ideas accurately and understandably in both verbal and written form.
• Ensure deliverables meet the highest standard of quality.
• Demonstrate initiative and dependability as a member of the team.
• Software Development Process, Software Requirements.
