Overview
The Benefit Service Center (BSC Call Center) is seeking a Eligibility Specialist III to join our team.
This position serves as the first point of contact for complex case questions from staff, partners, and customers. Success in this role requires strong technical knowledge, emotional intelligence, patience, sound judgment, and the ability to balance accuracy with efficiency in a fast-paced environment. In this role you'll work with a wide range of staff, meeting them where they are in their learning and adapting your coaching style to support growth for each individual. This role also requires close collaboration with three other Senior team members to ensure consistency, communication, and shared support across the unit.
This position requires a strong understanding of the job specifications and expertise in benefit eligibility determination. You are expected to serve as a subject matter expert and resource for policy, process, and complex eligibility questions.

AHS BACKGROUND CHECKS: Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. Environmental FactorsDuties are performed in a standard office setting during standard State office times. Some travel may be necessary, for which private transportation must be available when a State Fleet vehicle is unavailable. Stressful interactions with upset or emotional customers, over the phone and in person, will occur. Staff workload may be heavy at varying times. Occasionally, work outside of typical business hours may be expected.
Minimum Qualifications18 months or more of combined experience at the level of Eligibility Specialist I or Eligibility Specialist II.
