Overview

The Department of Vermont Health Access (DVHA) is seeking a Senior Staff Attorney. Attorneys for DVHA conduct complex contract negotiations, engage in administrative rulemaking, and provide in-house legal support to the Department's many units. Working for DVHA provides an opportunity to gain a complex knowledge base in legal compliance and healthcare work at a dynamic department offering workplace flexibility and an excellent benefits package.


DVHA is currently seeking a senior staff attorney, who would qualify as a Staff Attorney III or Staff Attorney IV per the State of Vermont Attorney Pay Plan.

This position is a full-time, exempt position based in Waterbury, VT and subject to the telework policy outlined below. This position is open until filled. Please submit a resume and cover letter. References will also be requested if candidates are selected for interview.

Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate will have at least at least five years of demonstrated proficiency in one or some combination of the following: Medicaid law, healthcare law and regulation, administrative/regulatory law, contracts, or other experience relevant to the operations of the Department.
