Our Data Analyst position is onsite in our St. Louis, MO headquarters for summer 2026.  

The Data Analyst Intern will work closely with Stifel's data analysis team to support data-driven projects and initiatives. The Intern will collaborate with business users, product managers, and development teams to analyze, document, and refine data processes, all while gaining hands-on experience in data extraction, reporting, and analysis.

• Conduct data extraction and analysis using SQL, create reports to support business needs, and respond to ad-hoc data requests.
• Document data requirements, perform quality checks, and ensure data accuracy to support effective decision-making.
• Research best practices, contribute to process improvement initiatives, and collaborate with team members to implement solutions.
• Partner with business users and product management to clarify and refine data requirements, supporting the development of data-driven solutions.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on logical reasoning, data relationships, and documentation.

• Minimum Required: Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or a related field with at least one year of college completed.

• Minimum Required: None.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and SQL.
• Familiarity with Python, AWS, or similar tools is preferred.
