Description

The Manager of the Project Management Office (PMO) will be responsible for leading and managing the organization's infrastructure project management function. This role will ensure effective project delivery, streamline processes, and enhance project management capabilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, senior management, and external stakeholders to drive project success and achieve strategic objectives.



What We're Looking For

  • Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for the PMO that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Define project management standards, methodologies, and best practices to ensure consistent delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance project management efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee the management and prioritization of the project portfolio, ensuring alignment with business priorities and resource availability.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure successful project delivery and optimize resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with functional managers to identify and address resource gaps or conflicts.
  • Provide guidance and support to project managers in resource planning and allocation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior management, key stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders clearly and concisely.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive project management culture across the organization.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers and other PMO staff.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management practices, processes, and tools.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency.


What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience working in a PMO or project management function, preferably in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on delivering results.


Education & Experience

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business or technical field.
  • Minimum Required: 7+ years of experience in IT Project Management or related experience in the financial services industry.


Licenses & Credentials

  • Minimum Required: None.


Systems & Technology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
