The Opportunity:
Tetra Tech is adding a Billing & Collections Lead to our Accounting team based in Maitland, Florida. This is a Hybrid role at this time will require working in the Maitland office 1-day per work week.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday from 8 am to 5 pm daily. At time will require working overtime, nights, and weekends during month-end and/or various activations.

Your Role:
The Billing & Collections Lead reports directly to the department Manager and plays a key role in supporting the oversight and continuous improvement of billing and collections operations. This position ensures timely and accurate invoicing. This role is also responsible for training all new team members.
Invoices are sent on a per project basis, monthly, and are tailored to our customers' requirements. The Billing & Collections staff must access information from internal and external systems, manipulate data into an invoice excel format and adjust as directed.
· Review contract terms and conditions as they relate to billing.
· Prepare and compile draft invoices.
· Confirm tasks performed via an invoice checklist.
· Audit and reconcile invoice supporting backup.
· Ability to turn raw data exports into excel report.
· Ability to use excel with strong knowledge of pivot tables, v-lookup, and formulas.
· Streamlines processes.
· Support staff on all tasks.
· Other assigned tasks as needed.
· Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
· Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
· Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
· Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 years of experience in billing & collections, including some leadership experience in a consulting/engineering firm.
· Strong background in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically proficient in Excel.
· Good organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines.
· Ability to work overtime, nights, and/or weekends, during month-end and activations.
· Strong leadership and organizational abilities; as well as proficiency in accounting software and principles.
· Good written and verbal communication skills.
