Project Summary:

The goal of the USAID/OTI Moldova Resilience Initiative (MRI) is to strengthen support for a democratic, European Moldova. USAID/OTI and MSI will work with a coalition of civic, media, and government stakeholders in support of program goals. The program will operate primarily through a small grants mechanism and will rely on ongoing analysis of the local context to inform programming.

Position Summary:

The Creative Hub Videographer will contribute to MRI's efforts to support implementation of strategic communications. The Creative Hub Videographer will produce engaging and informative video materials. The videos will be used for promotional purposes, official communications, social media, and other platforms to foster transparency and public engagement. The selected candidate will work withing the public events coverage, video storytelling, post-production, and audio management. This is a short-term assignment with an expected level of effort of 109 days. The position will be based in Chisinau, Moldova.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Record video footage of events proceedings, speeches, and interactions with the public.
  • Demonstrate creativity and storytelling skills to craft compelling narratives through video content.
  • Ensure that the videos align with the program's communication guidelines and branding.
  • Conduct video editing and post-production tasks, including cutting, sequencing, adding overlays, titles, and background music, to enhance the overall video quality and storytelling.
  • Provide timely delivery of edited videos to meet communication and publication deadlines.
  • Ensure clear and high-quality audio recording during events and interviews, using appropriate microphones and equipment.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism or another relevant field is required.
  • Minimum three years of experience working in the communications field is required.
  • Experience with USAID-funded or other international organization projects.
  • Familiarity with USAID communications policies is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively and harmoniously under pressure in a stressful environment and with partners from different cultural and professional backgrounds is preferred.
  • Ability to work and travel within Moldova is required.
  • Fluency in English and Romanian is required.
