The Opportunity:

LDIS LLC, a Tetra Tech Company, provides integrated engineering and design solutions for the Energy, Petrochem, Renewables,

In addition to conventional facility solutions and designs, our projects include Hydrogen Electrolysis, Ammonia Production Facilities,
Renewable Natural Gas Processing, Emissions Reduction Studies, Carbon Capture and Sequestration, wastewater, pharmaceuticals, and much more.

Your Role:

Electrical Engineers are responsible for supporting design and implementation of electrical systems, and working with software, and
various other tools. As an Electrical Engineer V, you primarily focus on developing robust power distribution systems within an
overall project team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to lead a discipline engineering team on projects with no guidance; project size at any level and complexity, supervise design personnel and other staff specialists.
  • Review and check designs; assists in the development of design guides, guide specifications and design control procedures.
  • Serve as the lead Engineer or technical expert on all projects
  • Controlling & executing the scope, schedule and budget of assigned projects.
  • Performs power engineering tasks and calculations for processing and heavy industrial, including facilities providing direction and supervision as a Staff Electrical Engineer
  • Support specification development and research for distribution switchgear, MCCs, panels, motor starters/VFDs, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge in Oneline and panel schedule development, simple cable tray/conduit layout and fill calculations, cable/wire sizing, CAD drafting
  • Vendor submittal review and develop and wiring diagrams based on vendor drawings.
  • Reviews work for discrepancies or inconsistencies
  • Reports project status & staffing requirements to supervisor
  • Research and resolve issues with all available tools
  • Develops and improves technical knowledge and skills
  • Maintains professionalism in relationships with other office and team members
  • Mentor less experienced engineers, designers and drafters.
  • Plans what needs to be communicated and how to present the information effectively
  • Staying updated on industry standards, regulations and best practices.
  • Constructively builds and maintains relationships with others on the project design team
  • Makes site visits to observe during construction and operation
  • Lighting designs, luminaire layout, and circuit switching
  • Conducting feasibility studies and analyzing system requirements
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance in troubleshooting electrical power systems
  • Travel required when requested

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar ABET accredited engineering degree and relevant experience.
    15-20 years' experience
  • Course work in power engineering
  • Engineer-in-Training certification required
  • PE Preferred in multiple states
  • NCEES Registration
  • Working understanding of the National Electrical Code and NFPA 70E
  • Ability to create and understand One-Line Diagrams and Control Schematics
  • Proficient knowledge of symmetrical components, fault current calculations, and machine theory
  • Capable of breaking a task into one or more component parts and sequencing those parts effectively
  • Execute practical and constructable design solutions
  • Solid understanding of the scope, schedule and budget assigned for engineering tasks
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with other project teams to apply standard textbook electrical design and analysis approach
  • Efficiently executes design from concept through completion
  • Ability to logically organize work and delegates tasks to junior team members
  • Collaborating with electrical and other discipline team members on various projects
  • Ability to offer suggestions and corrections on organization and planning issues
  • Productively work through conflict to keep tasks moving forward
  • Familiar with the "business" of electrical engineering as well as the technical design issues
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills that are well organized and persuasive
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, such as Word and Excel

Salary Range: $155,792 - $176,800 annually depending on level of experience, education and location.
