Your Role:

This position provides structural engineering design support for pipeline, pump/compressor station, and terminal/tank projects nationwide. You will work with a multi-disciplinary project team, under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.  A successful candidate will bring design engineering and technical expertise to a team of established consultants with a proven track record of 40+ years in the Oil & Gas Industry.

We will provide training that will allow our structural engineers to quickly become active members of our design team.

Typical tasks will include but not limited to - 

• Steel structure design
• Concrete foundation design
• Structural engineering calculations

Qualifications:

• B.S. in ABET accredited Structural Engineering program.
• 0-5 years of relevant experience.
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE).
• Licensed Professional Engineer Civil branch (PE Civil) or Licensed Professional Structural Engineer (SE). 
• Ability and desire to sit for the 8-hour NCEES Professional Engineer PE exam, if not currently licensed.
• Desire to sit for the 16-hour NCEES SE exam preferred. 
• Understand structural engineering design, analysis, and development of scope of work documents.
• Ability to apply structural engineering knowledge and techniques for industrial capital projects. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Experienced working closely with drafters, designers, and modelers to produce quality drawings.
• AutoCAD or Revit familiarity/experience
• Must be able to communicate with peers, contractors, and clients clearly and efficiently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Must be a self-starter, possess ability to work well within a group setting, be eager to learn and expand your skillset, and be detail oriented.
• NCEES record preferred.
• Knowledge in the Midstream Oil and Gas industry, specifically crude oil, refined products, CO2, NGL, wet and natural gas preferred.
• A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions. 

Target salary range:  $75,000 to $82,000. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
