Your Role:
This position provides structural engineering design support for pipeline, pump/compressor station, and terminal/tank projects nationwide. You will work with a multi-disciplinary project team, under the supervision of a Professional Engineer. A successful candidate will bring design engineering and technical expertise to a team of established consultants with a proven track record of 40+ years in the Oil & Gas Industry.
We will provide training that will allow our structural engineers to quickly become active members of our design team.
Typical tasks will include but not limited to -
- Steel structure design
- Concrete foundation design
- Structural engineering calculations
Qualifications:
- B.S. in ABET accredited Structural Engineering program.
- 0-5 years of relevant experience.
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE).
- Licensed Professional Engineer Civil branch (PE Civil) or Licensed Professional Structural Engineer (SE).
- Ability and desire to sit for the 8-hour NCEES Professional Engineer PE exam, if not currently licensed.
- Desire to sit for the 16-hour NCEES SE exam preferred.
- Understand structural engineering design, analysis, and development of scope of work documents.
- Ability to apply structural engineering knowledge and techniques for industrial capital projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experienced working closely with drafters, designers, and modelers to produce quality drawings.
- AutoCAD or Revit familiarity/experience
- Must be able to communicate with peers, contractors, and clients clearly and efficiently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Must be a self-starter, possess ability to work well within a group setting, be eager to learn and expand your skillset, and be detail oriented.
- NCEES record preferred.
- Knowledge in the Midstream Oil and Gas industry, specifically crude oil, refined products, CO2, NGL, wet and natural gas preferred.
- A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
Target salary range: $75,000 to $82,000. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
