Tetra Tech is actively seeking an Information Solutions Group Manager. This key role is responsible for assisting with and directing support activities for all Information Solutions Group aspects of GIS, database management, records management, application/web development, electronic data collection and custom software initiatives. This position requires the employee to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on.

Your Role:

 •    Provides leadership and support to Information Solutions Group. Instills a positive attitude and motivates team members by maximizing team and individual performance.
•    Leadership of the following areas: database, GIS, Records Management, and application development.
•    Develops and maintains partnerships with internal and external stakeholders who can provide information, consultation and assistance.
•    Continually seeks better ways of doing business.
•    Assist in and demonstrated ability in developing and executing effective practices, tools, and standards for implementations.
•    Embraces change to stay ahead of problems.
•    Manage time and resources effectively to meet company objectives.
•    Recruits, hires and develops a high performing team.

Qualifications:

BS or MS degree in Computer Science, GIS, Mathematics, Business or a related field, plus a minimum of 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

•    Background managing projects.
•    Financial understanding of budgets and revenue goals.
•    Strong communicator, articulate and persuasive to people both within and outside of the organization.
•    Knowledge and experience in a wide range of disciplines including database, GIS, Records Management, and application development using this knowledge to bring resources to bear in the resolution of issues.
•    Demonstrated ability to apply tact and diplomacy when addressing all levels of staff. Must possess a high degree of business intelligence.
•    Understanding of IT strategy and how it relates to business objectives.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Office software applications required. Conceptual knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server databases, GIS, and records management. Individual must have ample organizational skills, ability to manage heavy workloads and time-critical situations in order to fulfill deadline requirements, and strong ability to work in team situations.  Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
