The Opportunity
- 12 month full-time contract
- Location: Port Moresby, PNG

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Program Support Officer to join our team. The Program Support Officer role is for a duration of 12-months and is responsible for providing logistics, administration, record keeping and data entry support across AAPNG program activities. As a member of AAPNG, the Program Support Officer will foster continuous improvement and innovation, ensure quality delivery, and maximise possible program outcomes for AAPNG.
This role is specifically designed for individuals who have faced barriers to securing employment. These barriers can include, but are not limited to: Disability, Long-term Unemployment, Lack of Work Experience, Marginalized Group, Socioeconomic Disadvantages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaising with service providers, make and amend travel and accommodation bookings for awardees, and program participants.
- Provide accurate data entry support across a range of AAPNG and DFAT management information systems (MIS)
- Maintain accurate hardcopy and electronic files and records in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Support event management logistics and administration and arrange logistics for workshops and stakeholder meetings.
- Support awardee, applicant and participant communication including monitoring of AAPNG program email in-boxes, and if required respond to enquiries by members of the public at the AAPNG Information Center and through telephone enquiries.
- Work collaboratively across AAPNG teams to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of AAPNG program activities.
- Other duties from time to time, as may be reasonably requested by DFAT and Tetra Tech
Selection Criteria:
- Completion of Grade 12 with good grades across all subjects taken.
- Demonstrated experience in teamwork, including working within a culturally diverse team.
- Strong organisation and time management skills including the ability to manage competing tasks in a timely manner.
- Strong English skills in written and oral communication
- Sound computer skills using all Microsoft Office 365 applications
- Experience working independently and within cross-functional teams in a collaborative, professional environment.
