The Opportunity:

Tetra Tech is adding a Project Manager/Client Relations Manager to our Project Management team based in Terrace or Kitimat, BC. Relocation assistance is available for the successful candidate; applicants must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

Our office specializes in small to mid-sized projects for clients across Canada. The types of clients we work for include:

  • Heavy Industrial Facilities
  • Pipelines and Refineries
  • Mining and Mineral Processing
  • Municipal & Utilities
  • Water Treatment

 

 

The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $170,000 per annum. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.

Your Role:

  • Managing and implementing individual multi-discipline projects.
  • Serving as a focal point for all project-related communication with our clients in order to ensure constant and consistent service.
  • Maintaining overall client relationship(s) within a region.
  • Overseeing all active projects and the activities of team resources.
  • Carrying out business development activities in coordination with Business Development to ensure continuing work from assigned core client(s) in the region.
  • Leading proposal development, including the development of work plans, scopes, and budgets.
  • Devising project work plans and making revisions as and when the need arises.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
  • Additional duties as required.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor' degree in engineering or science is preferred.
  • EIT or P.Eng. designation is preferred.
  • Applicants must have a mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to build relationships and display the highest standard of client services.
  • Previous experience managing projects is an asset.
  • Previous site or heavy industrial experience is an asset.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and varying resource needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required for both client and internal team interfaces.
  • Effective time-management and logical decision-making ability.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capacity to handle pressure.
  • Strong focus on quality.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.  Travel from the Terrace office to regional clients is required on a regular basis.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence is required; must be comfortable driving in severe winter conditions.
  • Must be able to successfully complete drug and alcohol screening, including pre-employment and/or site-specific testing as required.
