We are looking for enthusiastic engineers that are looking to continue to grow their skills to work in multiple platforms to engineer a variety of projects across the nation.  This position is responsible for design and calculations, including production / oversight of drawing production and specification preparation for utility pipelines, pump stations, site civil, and process design while coordinating with other disciplines on tasks to minimize rework and maximize efficiency. This position requires the ability to successfully work with and complete deliverables in a fast-paced, versatile work environment.

Your Role: 

  • Plan and design water/wastewater treatment, distribution/conveyance, pumping, and storage facilities. 
  • Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses. 
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports with supporting documents, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. 
  • Ensure standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports and design projects. 
  • Evaluate alternatives, resolve technical issues and interface with other engineering disciplines. 
  • Collaborate with technical design teams for compliance with scope, schedule and budget requirements, including coordination with the project manager, other design disciplines, and the client. 
  • Review submittals from contractors for conformance with engineering specifications and drawings and respond to requests for additional information. 
  • Resolve questions, plan, coordinate, and execute work in a safe, timely, cost effective and compliant manner. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
  • Engineer Intern (EI) certification required.
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Minimum of 2 years of drafting and design experience using latest version of Civil 3D to generate pipe networks, profiles and cross sections, and manipulate surfaces. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member.
  • Must be able to exercise independent judgement and work to achieve generally stated objectives and requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, to include Microsoft Word, Excel, word processing and scheduling programs.
  • This position could require periodic travel, approximately 5% or less.
