Primary Responsibilities:
The Speech Language Pathologist role in the classroom is:
• to design and implement thematic curriculum areas,
• to ensure that students master goals and objectives of the curriculum,
• to document progress of all students in all developmental domains,
• to collaborate with the educator to support acquisition of spoken language skills in the students using a transdisciplinary model,
• to participate in clinical research projects relating to outcomes in children with hearing loss,
• to share expertise from the field of speech and language pathology with other staff members
Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Licensure and certification required
• Ability to work in a team teaching environment
• Ability to work creatively and in a self-directed manner
• Resourceful, flexible, and service oriented
