Main Job Function:
- Provides clinical oversight of resident issues and ensures staffing to meet the needs of Avenues based on clinical acuity
- Works with the Director of Nursing to ensure quality services and retention of staff in the long term care setting
Required Job Specific Competencies:
- Skill in clinical assessment of the geriatric patient
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements of long term care
- Ability to work independently and exhibits flexibility in decision making and prioritizing tasks
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with the interdisciplinary team
- Leadership skills to promote the retention of staff
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Review acute needs of residents to ensure appropriate nursing care/interventions
- Acts as liaison between nursing and medical providers
- Round daily on all Avenues
- Provide education and on the spot reinforcement of policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of care
- Provide consultation and guidance to nursing leadership that will empower them to perform their duties
- Assist Nurse Managers in ensuring disciplinary action is administered fairly and consistent with current policies
Qualifications/Experience:
- NYS Registered Nurse license required
- Previous experience in managing daily operations and responsibilities in the long term care setting
- Experience in ensuring regulatory compliance
- Minimum of 5 years experience in long term care with at least 3 years in management/clinical roles-strongly preferred
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing-required

Salary Range: $110,000-130,000/year
Starting Pay: Based on Experience
