Overview:
The Area Service Manager is responsible for providing leadership to plan, organize and direct operational activities and strategies for assigned area(s). This customer-facing position is responsible for the hiring of service personnel, oversees their positions and controls operational performance in the support center with established Centerline procedures. This position develops professional relationships and works directly with customers, the assigned area(s) leadership, the Payroll Department, and the Field Compliance Department. The ASM has responsibility for connecting drivers with work and supports, motivates, trains, retains, and holds accountable the staff that ultimately delivers net operating income, impacting shareholder value.

Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain operational data and provide regular updates to leadership with regards to order fulfillment progress and activities. Utilizing key performance metrics, establishing targets, monitoring actual results against targets and develop action plans for areas with opportunities for improvement.
- Provide strategic support and analysis of the business economics of current markets, identifies trends and advocates action to maximize opportunities and minimize risks.
- Ensures integrity of the Centerline order fulfillment process; ensures staff maintains accurate documentation on all drivers and other activities. Plans, organizes, and streamlines the order fulfillment processes.
- Builds exceptional relationships with top customers (defined as five or more drivers assigned) in assigned areas.
- Promotes Centerline's reputation as a “best place to work.”
- Oversee the development, planning, delivery, and measurement of training programs that enhance the skills and competencies of the team. Provides coaching and mentoring to staff to support the achievement of organizational and personal goals.
- Oversee service activities, policies, and procedures through the day-to-day oversight of the assigned team of service personnel. Turns conflict into an opportunity to re-establish direction, open-communication and promote team spirit.
- Works closely with other Managers to share best practices and provide assistance on critical needs.
- Collaborates with Sales, Compliance, Payroll and Recruiting to help ensure cohesiveness.
- Reinforces a culture that places an emphasis on worker safety being #1.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of transportation experience
- 1+ years supervisory experience
- Demonstrative leadership ability and success in delivering results through the actions of others.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to persuade an audience.
- Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with a diverse employee population.
- Excellent problem-solving & judgment.
- Desire to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Valid driver's license and a car that can be used for work.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000 annually, depending on experience and geographic location plus eligibility for incentive pay, subject to plan terms.
