Authorization & Eligibility Representative- Community Autism Services - 100% remote

Role and Responsibilities: Adhere to the core responsibilities of my role as Authorization & Eligibility Representative, including but not limited to:
- Receiving Eligibility & Consent forms from intake and checking eligibility and coverage details for members pursuing either Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services or for the treatment of an Autism Spectrum diagnosis (ASD)
- Sending correspondence and updates to clients regarding their benefits and the steps taken to seek authorization, per client health plan guidelines
- Updating client Basic Contact info (address, payer, claim settings) and Meta data + pertaining client labels in Central Reach
- Creating, distributing, and auditing receipt of Client Enrollment Packets sent to family
- Coordination of benefits form
- Client Services Agreement
- Credit Card agreement
- Service Delivery Agreement
- Notice of Privacy Practices
- Reviewing client diagnostic reports and treatment plans to ensure they meet health plan specific criterion; making recommendations on how to proceed if further evaluation is required
- Preparing authorization requests for health insurance companies
- Timely submission, tracking, and reviewing of authorization status and accuracy (units/codes, authorization dates, session frequencies for all funding sources (Insurance/Regional Center/School District/ Private Pay))
- Receiving feedback from health insurance company care managers and working with the clinical team to take any corrective measures needed to secure client authorization
- Tasking authorizations to be entered into Central Reach and verifying authorization after it has been entered
- Creating, distributing, and auditing receipt of cost projections for all cases needed
- Corresponding with the billing team regarding benefit detail discrepancies and working to propose workable solutions.
- Providing administrative back-up when necessary (answer phones, scanning, filing, etc.)
Make a concerted effort to meet the targets set forth for my core responsibilities as an Authorization & Eligibility Representative:
- Maintain less than 10 overdue tasks
- Complete tasks within 2 days of due date
- Client count
