Summary of Job Duties: The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for Neurocritical Care (CPS-NCC) will provide consultative assistance to providers, nurses, and other ancillary staff of the neurocritical care and neurosurgery along with providing pharmaceutical care to patients in the Neurocritical ICU. Job responsibilities for the CPS-NCC include daily rounding with the interdisciplinary team, medication review, participation in a pharmacokinetics monitoring service, answering drug information questions for the medical and nursing staff, collaborating with the other CPS daily, and acting as the liaison between neurocritical care and the pharmacy.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy Degree,
PGY1 residency training OR 3 years of applicable experience,
Certification as a licensed Registered Pharmacist by the State of Arkansas or eligibility for licensure. Must have a license before the start date.
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency
Five (5) years of experience working as a pharmacist in a comprehensive stroke center or adult ICU

Oversees patient care functions, including maintaining accurate records and refining medication therapies to improve treatment results.
Handles task prioritization adjusts to shifts in practice and addresses day-to-day operational challenges.
Adhere to pharmacy laws, regulations, and policies.
Provides training and instruction to staff members and pharmacy students.
Participates in initiatives for process enhancement, policy revisions, or research activities.
Other duties as assigned.
