Summary of Job Duties: The Program Coordinator for the Center for Nursing Excellence reports to the Program Administrator of the Center for Nursing Excellence and manages the assessment, development, implementation, and coordination of all UAMS nursing clinical ladder advancement programs. Coordinates and assists with professional workshops and resources for role development. Manages the nursing recognition nomination programs while maintaining all logistics and corresponding communication to stakeholders. Manges the Professional Development Fund and oversees applications for use, processing travel and conference registrations. Oversees centralized shared governance councils and coordinates with presenters to prepare presentations, record minutes and oversee roster. Provides an extremely high level of customer service to stakeholders. Serves as point of contact for Center for Nursing Excellence.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma plus six (6) years of experience in business processes or administrative support OR
Associate's degree plus four (4) years of experience in business processes or administrative support.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to effectively enact change and successfully implement changes.
Superior technological/computer skills and capabilities with a variety of software programs including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, online survey platforms, and Adobe products, including Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.
Must have outstanding project management skills to manage, support, and deliver projects within established budget and on time.
Must be a self-starter and manage time effectively.
Positions require the ability to walk across campus, carry up to 10 lbs., speak, see, hear, and sit at a desk for long periods.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or other related degrees.
Two (2) years of experience in business processes or administrative support

Oversee Nursing Recognition Programs (DAISY, BEE, DAISY Nursing Leader, Mary Helen Forrest Legacy in Nursing, Nationally Certified Nurses Days, Annual Professional Nursing Awards, and others as developed).
Oversee Nursing Professional Development Programs (RN clinical ladder, RNIV/V program, national certification reimbursement program, resource RN program, and others as developed)
Oversee CNE Events (Recruitment, Nurses' Week, Magnet-related events, CNO Townhall, and others)
Facilitate and organize Nursing Shared Governance councils and administrative meetings
May perform other duties as assigned.
