Summary of Job Duties: The Project Coordinator I will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day program activities to support grant funded projects in Community Health and Research. This position will work closely with clinics and pharmacies to develop referral systems for patients and clients. The Project Coordinator I will develop a system for tracking referrals based on social determinants of health screenings. This position will collaborate with community organizations to contribute to the development and use of the referral system. The Project Coordinator I will work with project managers, the Associate Director, and evaluation team members to ensure the referral system is implemented across the program partners. This position should have a thorough understanding of the social determinants of health.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED plus seven (7) years administration or program coordination experience.
- Valid AR drivers' license required with current automobile insurance and reliable car for moderate travel to UAMS in Little Rock, AR and surrounding communities (mileage reimbursed at the current state mileage reimbursement rate). A state vehicle is not available. Occasional out-of-state travel required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
- Ability to Follow Oral Instruction.
- Ability to read and write.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; strong problem solving skills.
- Able to understand and analyze complex human subject research issues.
- Ability to work independently and interdependently.
- Experience with Microsoft Office required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under deadline pressure.
- Must have mature judgment, as confidential information is routinely encountered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in related field plus one (1) year of administrative or program coordination experience
Additional Information:
- Develop referral system with evaluation team. Test and implement referral system with clinics and pharmacies. Train clinics and pharmacy staff on referral system operations to ensure successful implementation.
- Train clinic and pharmacy staff on social determinants of health screening and appropriate referrals. Build partnerships with community organizations to develop referral database for clinics and pharmacies to refer clients and patients.
