Summary of Job Duties: The Project Coordinator position at The Offices of Community Health and Research (OCHR) will be responsible for coordinating specific aspects of community-based projects, implementing work plans and coordinating outreach activities, data collection, stakeholder engagement, and other management of research-related activities, and managing administrative tasks for specific projects for the Institute for Community Health Innovation. The project coordinator must be able to organize projects, provide attention to detail, and communicate effectively. The coordinator is expected to develop, follow, and train staff on standard operating procedures. The coordinator will provide support in writing, editing, evaluation, and documentation of work performed. Work will be completed consistent with the requirements of the funding agencies and supervisor. The coordinator will coordinate with multiple team members on process improvement and execution of projects and will contribute information and ideas related to areas of responsibility as part of a cross-functional team.
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED plus seven (7) years of general research, project coordination, administrative, customer service, community outreach, or other related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree plus three (3) years of general research, project coordination, administrative, customer service, community outreach, or other related experience.
  • A clinical background and experience working in maternal child health, including women's health.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Ability to operate independently under limited supervision, determining methods and procedures on new assignments.
  • Skill and ability to communicate with others verbally or in writing to provide or obtain information and to counsel to gain a particular outcome.
  • Skill and ability to provide functional guidance, leadership, and/or supervision to other staff.
  • Skill and ability to work effectively in a team environment toward the achievement of common goals
  • Working knowledge of maternal child health field preferred.
  • Skill and ability to compile, analyze, and summarize data.
  • Knowledge and skill with word processing, spreadsheet, database, and e-mail computer software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
  • Skill and ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
  • Skill and ability to attend to details.
  • Skill and ability to cope with work activities that may be repetitive in nature.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of data and records.


Additional Information:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Develop and implement work plans to ensure efficient and productive execution of MCH projects.
  • Plan and coordinate outreach activities, including community events, workshops, and training sessions, to reach the target audience and promote MCH initiatives.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement data collection protocols and tools.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data collection, documentation, and data management.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community leaders, and government agencies, to align project goals and ensure effective partnerships.
  • Manage project-related administrative activities, such as budgeting, scheduling, and communication with project funders and other stakeholders.
  • Develop, follow, and train staff on standard operating procedures to ensure consistent and efficient project implementation.
  • Provide support in writing, editing, evaluation, and documentation of work performed.
  • Work closely with team members to identify areas for process improvement and execute strategies that optimize project outcomes.
  • Contribute information and ideas related to areas of responsibility as part of a cross-functional team, fostering a collaborative work environment. Comply with the requirements of the funding agencies and supervisor, ensuring project deliverables are executed in compliance with established guidelines.
