The Surgical Sterile Processing Department at Union Health is looking for a Tech Case Cart team member for the Terre Haute campus. We are looking for individuals who are compassionate, fully committed to providing the highest quality health care experience and dedicated to supporting their team who work in a fast-paced environment. The Sterile Processing team plays an integral role by ensuring the medical/surgical supplies and equipment, both sterile and, are cleaned, prepared, processed, stored, and issued for patient care

Tech Case Cart/Processing Essential Job Duties:

  1. Collaborates with the Team Leaders and the O.R. Team regarding the operative procedure, special instruments and plan of care.
  2. Maintains patient confidentiality.
  3. Assumes responsibility for collection and assembling of supplies for surgical procedures.
  4. Assumes responsibility for the maintenance of a clean and safe surgical environment.
    • Cares for surgical instruments, equipment and supplies correctly.
        • Washes
        • Wraps
        • Sterilizes
    • Assembles instrument trays and/or special equipment according to standard procedures.
        • Cleans
        • Checks
        • Tests
        • Labels
        • Wraps

 

Education, Training & Experience

  1. High School Graduate preferred.
  2. Two years experience in a surgical environment, familiar with surgical procedures and instrument sets, basic computer knowledge.
  3. Must obtain certification CRCST and maintain following 2 years of employment.
